We’ve been quiet lately but we’ve been working, so we thought we’d share a bit of what’s been going on behind the scenes.
As we’ve been pulling pieces together for our upcoming project, we found that a couple of our songs weren’t quite getting the perfect contrast & texture from plug-ins, so Brandon thought... “what if I actually just build a telephone circuit using good ol’ transformers, resistors & diodes?” And @diyrecordingequipment had just the right build kit: Colourphone. Loving what it’s been doing to the lead vox on one of our next songs. Stoked to share more with you all soon.

First up is a unique Strat. Brandon's "partscaster" is the latest to join our Fender family. An American Fender body and neck were matched up with 2 Dimarzio single coils and 1 PAF in the bridge position. Ebony fingerboard, and a hand-relic'd nitro finish in Inca Silver on an alder body. Bolting all these pieces together results in a sound that is clear, defined, and decidedly hi-fi. Most definitely in contrast to the darker, full tones from the others in our guitar rack.
